A fun sensory craft activity - puffy paint!
May 29, 2024I thought I'd share a simple fun sensory craft activity which your kids might like to have a go at - Puffy Paint.
Equipment
- 1 cup white shaving foam
- 1/2 cup white liquid glue
- Mixing bowl or container
- Food colouring
- Paper or object to be painted
Method
- Mix shaving foam and glue in a bowl or container
- If the mixture appears too thin, add more glue to make it stiffer
- Add food colour to the mixture - if using more than one colour, divide the mixture into separate containers and then add colour
- Paint the paper or the object you would like to decorate
- Leave to dry for several hours
Sensory tips
- When combining the mixture, give your child the option of using a spoon, using their hands of putting food bags over their hands to act as gloves if they don't want to directly touch the mixture.
- When painting, your child can use their fingers or a paintbrush
- Add glitter for more visual stimulation
- Try adding scent to the mixture e.g. cinnamon.
- I'd love to see your creations so please do share.
Have a fun!
